To boot Asus computers with Windows 8 installed from CD, simply follow the steps below.

You have a computer with Windows 8 installed, and you want to install another operating system such as Windows 7, but on your computer with Aptio BIOS you just can’t boot from CD.

Here’s what you need to do, in order:

To boot a computer with Aptio BIOS and Windows 8 installed from CD, first we shut down the computer by pressing the ‘Shut down’ option together with the Shift key, then,

With F2 or del, we enter the BIOS.
In the Security section, we set Security boot to disable.
We save and exit with F10.

Again, we enter the BIOS with F2.
In the Boot section, we set launch csm to enable.
We press F10 and save and exit.

Finally, we open the boot menu with the ESC key. And there’s the CD-ROM 🙂
