Disabling the Windows 8 Fast Startup feature

Windows 8‘s Fast Startup feature is most efficiently used by systems using mechanical hard disks. On systems using SSD, however, there won’t be much difference because the SSD units’ random access speed is not as low as that of mechanical hard disks. on the same computer, with the same SSD, there will be no difference at all between the boot times of Windows 7 and Windows 8.

1- Control PanelHardware and SoundPower Options follow this path and from the left side click the Choose what the power buttons do link.

2– In the window that opens, click the Change settings that are currently unavailable option,

then scroll the window down and if you want to enable Fast Startup, check the Turn on fast startup (recommended) option; if you want to remove it, clear the check mark.
