Pinging via MID server

From the ServiceNow screens, you can use a Probe to ping a device through the MID server and view the results.

When you type “Probe” into the left menu, you need to create a probe from the menu that appears under “Discovery Definition”, as shown in the image.

Then click the “Test probe” link at the bottom left, select the MID server you want, and trigger the “Ping” operation.

Once the operation is complete, it will take you to the results page, where you can click the record labeled “input” to see the result of the operation.
